THE PAINTERS
Three friends were painting the Sydney Harbor Bridge. During lunch interval, the First Friend opened his Lunch box and cursed as he unveiled his sandwich and muttered,"Twenty Five years the same sandwich. Ham and Cheese. Always, Ham and Cheese, my wife does not no any better. If tomorrow I open my lunch box and discover the same sandwich I will jump off this bridge." When theSecond friend opened his lunch box and found Roast Beef Sandwich, he too cursed, "Twenty Years, she has made the same sandwich, Roast Beef! Always Roast Beef! If she does the same I will also take my life."When the Third friend opens his box and sees his eggs & tomato sandwich, he too agrees to the same.
The next day they are painting the bridge, and at lunch time they open their knapsacks. The First friend has Ham and Cheese, the Second, Roast Beef, and the Third, eggs & tomato. So they leave suicide notes and they jump off the bridge.
During their funeral, being good friends they have their funerals at the same time, the wives are found chatting. The First friends wife was saying, "If only I had known. I thought he loved Ham and Cheese. I could have easily made something else for him" The Second Friends wife nodded her head, "Yep, I would have done the same too, if only I had known." "I don't know what was the matter with him," the Third Friends wife shook her head, "He used to make his own sandwich!"
